What a year it’s been - and we still have, arguably, the busiest period yet to come! With the launch of Series 3 just a few weeks ago, your feedback has been incredible, and we honestly still can’t quite believe just how many of you watch and love the show. Feeling like you’re on this journey with us, and that the unique insight into our lives is just as fulfilling for us as, hopefully, it is for you.

We obviously started the year on a real downer with the upsetting and shocking news of our fire, but we quickly tried to look forward and were ultimately so grateful that it turned out the way it did, as things could have been much worse. As is with life, despite its many challenges and often times moments of despair, it’s important to remain positive and keep a clear perspective. Before we knew it, lambing had started and the TV crew were there to capture everything for the start of Series 3.

It was our best lambing so far, with the overwhelming majority of our ewes lambing themselves and going on to rear some of our best lambs yet. Simultaneously, we took a gamble and started our first arable crop with spring oats, as we tried to re-establish a traditional mixed farm. Like many of you, we enjoyed another fantastic summer - from building tree swings to camping out with campfires and Milo’s favourite toasted marshmallows, the kids continued to thrive and affirm why we took this step and change of lifestyle.

In September, we hosted our first-ever wedding on the farm to help celebrate our friends CJ and Jemima, with the most beautiful and memorable occasion. We kicked the wellies off and dressed up, which was actually great in itself! As with most weddings, the speeches brought laughter and tears, the dance floor was full, kids were running wild, and the beer was flowing - or in our case, our very own Wincle Peak Gin was the tipple of choice!

As ever with farming, one eye was on the next job - and our next job was a big one: our very first arable harvest! The spring oats were ready for the combine and the sun was shining. I must stop myself here before I give away too many spoilers, as we’re only on Episode 4 and there’s still so much to come!

Our focus now is very much on our Christmas event, where Fletcher Farm transforms into a magical festive adventure for the whole family. Festive tractor rides, mischievous elves, and Santa himself bring the magic of the season to life! From crafting in the Elf’s Workshop to toasting marshmallows in the enchanted woodland, it’s a heartwarming adventure of joy, laughter, and unforgettable Christmas memories.

So with that in mind, I think I need to rush back to get some work done!
